We all know that to have a fit & healthy body, it requires eating well & regular exercise… that’s a given.


But did you know that one of the biggest barriers to health & fitness resides right between your ears?! It’s your mindset!


A positive, growth mindset is an important part of reaching & maintaining your fitness & health goals.


There are 4 THINKING STYLES in particular that can hold you back & keep you stuck.

1-     All or Nothing- you eat something unplanned or miss a workout. You think: I ruined my whole day; I blew it, might as well give up; I ate a donut… game over!

 

2-     Negative Filter- you put more weight on the negative than the positive. You have 5 good days & 1-2 bad days and you focus only on the BAD days.

 

3-     Once Makes Always- you acted a certain way in a certain situation so you think you will ALWAYS act that way. EX- When I go out with friends, I always eat too much. Your thoughts contain words like- always, never, forever.

 

4-     Don’t Worry, Be Happy- positive thinking is important on your fitness journey, but positive thinking alone will not help you reach your goals. You must have a PLAN & set ACTION-FOCUSED goals + a positive attitude.

 

So, before you start out on your fitness & health journey, take a look at what resides between your ears… Is your mindset in check? Or does it need a tune up?


Minding your MINDSET along with your Fitness & Nutrition goals will increase your chances of making LASTING CHANGES.
