You have control over how much get-up & go you have throughout the day. Many lifestyle factors play into your overall energy levels. With a few tweaks in your DAILY HABITS, you can transform your energy level & also benefit your overall health in the process.

Here are a few HABITS to think about adding to your daily life:

·       BEDTIME- get to bed at the same time nightly; have a ‘wind-down’ evening routine that sets you up for good sleep; avoid electronics (blue light) 1-2 hours before bed; keep your bedroom cool & quiet.

·       CUT DOWN ON SUGAR- though sugar may give you a quick boost, the ‘sugar crash’ is real. Avoid processed foods; beware of sugary drinks; look for snacks with little to no processed sugar.

·       TAKE A WALK-  walking gets your blood pumping & helps your heart distribute oxygen throughout your body. It also helps you sleep mor soundly.

·       CHOOSE THE RIGHT FOODS- foods known to deliver long-term, steady energy include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, lean meats.

·       HYDRATE- Even mild dehydration can zap your energy. An easy way to figure how many ounces of water you should be drinking: divide your weight in half & aim to drink that many ounces of water daily.

Small, simple, daily changes can reap BIG health rewards.

You got this!
