An easier way to EAT HEALTHY

What if I told you there is an easier way to eat healthy?!

 

The last thing I want to do when I get home from a busy day is cook!


I’ve shared with you before… I like EASY, FAST, HEALTHY when it comes to my meals.


Here I’m going to share with you a few of my MEAL SECRETS that help me meet my nutrition goals.


FOOD PREP

o   Boil a dozen eggs

o   Cut veggies & store in snack baggies for quick grab & go snack/lunch

o   Mediterranean salad / 3-bean salad- a good lunch, dinner side, or snack

 

BATCH COOK

o   Chicken breasts

o   Ground turkey

 

CASSEROLES, SLOW COOKER, & LEFTOVERS, oh my…

o   Casseroles- make a big batch & freeze some for later / eat leftovers

o   Slow Cooker- throw all ingredients in one pot- cook while away / freeze / eat leftovers

o   Leftovers- be creative. Use leftover sides & proteins to create a new meal. Example- leftover turkey patty can be cut up & used as protein in a taco salad bowl.

 

IN A PINCH

o   Frozen veggies- if there is no time for fresh, frozen/steamed is the next best healthy option

o   High quality protein bars serve as a meal on- the- go

o   Bottled water- I always keep 1-2 bottles in the car- this is a good reminder to stay hydrated!
